Ld Byrd

LD Byrd, age 83, of LaFollette passed away on Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at LaFollette Medical Center. He was a member of Cedar Hill Baptist Church. He enjoyed watching movies, especially John Wayne and Clint Eastwood films, was a Korean War veteran and was a Masonic Master at the Stooksbury Lodge. LD loved his family very much and to them he was the best man that ever walked the face of the Earth besides Jesus.

He was preceded in death by his parents Arnold & Hester (Phillips) Byrd, wife Patricia Byrd and sisters Louise Hayes and Mildred Baldwin.

He is survived by his sons Phillip Byrd & wife Teresa of Knoxville and Mike Byrd & wife Patricia of LaFollette, 8 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6:30 - 8:00 pm on Friday, March 6, 2015 at Martin Wilson Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow with Rev. DC Brantley officiating. Interment will be at 12:30 pm on Saturday, March 7, 2015 at Woodlawn Cemetery.
