Leamon Harness

Leamon Harness, age 86 of Caryville passed away Wednesday, August 11, 2010 at the U.T. Medical Center in Knoxville. Leamon loved hunting, fishing and gardening. He also loved his family especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Preceded in death by Parents: John and Bertha Ward Harness. Brothers: Laford, Marcum, Rev. Carl and Kenneth Harness and Roy Mullins. Sisters: Betty and Rosie Massengill.

Survived by Wife of 66 years: Sallie Harness of Caryville. Son: Larry Harness and his Late Wife: June Harness of Caryville. Daughter and Son in Law: Margaret and Danny Terry of Elk Valley. Grandchildren: Melinda Douglas of Elk Valley, Larry Wayne Harness and Friend: Stephen Martinak of Knoxville, Gary and Elizabeth Harness of Jacksboro, Terry and Barbara Harness of Caryville, Leamon Lynn and Erica Harness of Lafollette, Stephen and Shannon Terry of Danville, KY and Stephanie Terry of Duff. Great Grandchildren: Melissa and Maria Douglas, Dillion, Cheyenne, Rebekah, Terri Faith and Hannah Harness. Sister: Earlene Silcox. Several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral Service will be 8 PM Friday, August 13, 2010 in Martin Wilson Chapel with Rev. Don Allen and Rev. Mark Braden officiating. Interment will be 11 AM Saturday in Marlow Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Friday night before funeral service.
