Lillie Allen

Lillie Allen age 66 of Caryville passed away Friday, January 30, 2009 at the Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge. She was a member of Red Ash Baptist Church. Mrs. Allen was a very loving mother, grandmother, and wonderful sister. She was always there and would go out of her way to help others. She was very active in her church of which she was a member for many years.

Preceded in death by Husband: Virgil Allen. Parents: Roy and Nora Mefford.. Sister: Margaret McKamey. 5 infant brothers and sisters.

Survived by Son  Andrew V. and Wife: Shahrzad of Centerville, Ohio. Daughters: Camille L. Allen and Tina A. Rickett both of Caryville. Grandchildren: Shabnam N. Allen and Sheereen R. Allen. Brothers: Thomas Mefford and Wife: Dorothy of Jacksboro. Lee Mefford  and Wife: Joy of South Paris, ME. Joe Mefford and Wife: Marie of Hickson, Tn. and John Mefford of Oxford, ME. Sisters: Marlena Simpson  and Husband: Jr. of Caryville. Mary Jordan and Husband: Newell of Gautier, Miss. And Jackie Mefford of LaFollette. Several Nieces, Nephews and a host of Relatives and Friends.

Funeral service will be 2 PM Wednesday, February 4 at Red Ash Baptist Church with Rev. Mark Braden and Rev. Don Allen officiating. Interment will follow in Queener Cemetery. Lillie will lie in state from 1 until 2 PM Wednesday before funeral service at the church. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 PM Tuesday night at the funeral home.
