Lillie Phillips

Lillie H. Phillips, age 94 of Lafollette went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Thursday, June 19, 2008. Attending church was her passion. She taught Sunday school and vacation bible school for many years. She enjoyed raising vegetables, gardens and growing flowers. She touched many lives and was a friend to everyone she met. Family and friends will miss her smiling face.

Preceded in death by Parents: John and Minnie Hill. Loving Husband: C.W. "Tip" Phillips. Brothers: Elmer, Lawrence, Fletcher, John, R.B., J.D., and Luther Hill. Sisters: Cora Lee Hill and Ruby Vincent.

Survived by Sisters: Ruth Carroll of Lafollette and Ethel Prater of Georgia.

The family wishes to thank Iantha Bradshaw, a friend and caregiver for many years. And also, Brenda Moore. A special thank you to Pat Massey who was so loyal and loving to Lillie during her last days. The family would like to extend their appreciation to all the staff at Sunbridge Care and Rehabilitation.

Funeral Service will be 12 PM Sunday, June 22, 2008 at West Lafollette Baptist Church with Rev. Lee Ray officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 AM until 12 PM Sunday before funeral service.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to West Lafollette Baptist Church building fund in memory of Lillie Phillips.
