Lois A. (Matlock) Johnson

Lois A. Johnson, age 95 of LaFollette went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, October 19, 2017.  She was a devoted member of Coolidge First Baptist Church where she faithfully attended.  Lois enjoyed quilting, cooking, reading her Bible, and Christian Literature.  She also loved to spend time with friends and family.

She is preceded in death by husband Johnny Johnson; sons Merle Edward Johnson, Eddie Ray Johnson, and Eugene Johnson; parents Elihu and Sarah (Willioughby) Matlock; brother Carl, Walter, and Bruce Matlock.

She is survived by sons James Walter Johnson & wife Bernadine, Joe Johnson & wife Phyllis, Roger Johnson & wife Linda, all of LaFollette; daughters Faye Murphy of Sevierville, and Barbara Kindred of LaFollette; 20 grandchildren, a host of great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Visitation will be 5 – 7 PM Sunday, October 22, 2017 in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home.  Funeral Services will be 10 AM Monday, October 23, 2017 at Coolidge First Baptist Church with Rev. Chuck Kohlmeyer and Rev. Lynn Ray officiating.  The interment will follow funeral service in Stokes Cemetery.
