Loretta Cook Long

Loretta Cook Long, age 73, of Andersonville, TN and formerly of Elk Valley, TN, went to be with the Lord on November 24, 2015. She was born February 8, 1942 in Elk Valley, TN to Elmer and Bessie (Green) Cook.

Loretta is survived by her husband of 56 years, Lloyd Long; children Jeffrey (Kim) Long and Tammy (Clayton) Cardwell; and grandchildren; Jeffrey Glen (Ashley) Long, Kaitlyn (Cody) Wall, Jessica (Jordan) Lucke, Jacob Cintron, Sammy (Tabitha) Cardwell, Matthew Cardwell; and great-grandchildren; Keely, Sydney, and Colton Long, Telsa Lucke and Jason Wall, and baby girl Cardwell due to arrive December 12th; Special brother, Edgar (Beth) Cook, brothers; Robert, Raymond, and Roger Cook.

Preceded in death by her parents; sister; Lily Garner, brothers; Dorsey, Clarence, Elmer Jr., Benny, Homer, Clayton, and Clyde Cook.

Mrs. Long was a member of Elk Fork Baptist Church. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who was dearly loved, and will be greatly missed, by her family and all who knew her.

Graveside services will be held Friday, November 27, 2015 at 1:00 pm at Valley View Cemetery in Elk Valley with Rev. Jerry Yancey officiating.
