Lou Ella Meredith

Lou Ella Meredith, age 81 of Jacksboro, formerly of Elk Valley passed away Tuesday, September 2, 2008 at her home leaving Beulah Bridges as the only surviving charter member of The First Baptist Church of Elk Valley.

Preceded in death by Beloved Husband: Bart C. Meredith. Son: Johnnie Dan Meredith. Parents: Thomas Franklin and Mary Elizabeth (Lizzie) Siler Shepherd. Brothers: Carl, Tom Jr. (Bug), Doyle, Kenneth (Puny), and Joe Shepherd.

Survived by Daughter and Son in Law: Donna and Sonny Norman of Jacksboro. Daughter in Law: Linda Diane Meredith of Elk Valley. Grandsons and Wives: Lindsay and Linda Marie Meredith of Elk Valley, Anson and Kelly Norman of Jacksboro. Great Grandson and Wife: Anthony and Jennifer Meredith of Jellico. Great Grandson: Jonathon Meredith of Elk Valley. Brother and Sister in Law: Clyde and Joyce Shepherd of Ohio and Florida. Sisters in Law: Juanita Shepherd of Ohio, Bonnie Shepherd of Oswego and Joann Shepherd of Jellico. Brother and Sister in Law: Bob and Shirley Lay of Ohio. Several nieces, nephews and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral Service will be 8 PM Friday, September 5, 2008 in Martin Wilson Chapel with Rev. Harold (Pete) Norman and Rev. Adam Hunley officiating. Family and friends will meet for interment at 11 AM Saturday in Valley View Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 PM Friday night before funeral service.
