Luther Kirby

Luther "LV" Kirby age 73 of Jacksboro passed away Tuesday, June 29, 2010 at the St. Mary's Medical Center in Knoxville. He was a member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church. Mr. Kirby was a loving husband of 43 years that enjoyed Bluegrass Gospel Music, fishing, and loved spending time with his family and friends.

Preceded in death by Parents: Luther and Carrie Kirby. Brother: Preston Kirby. Sisters: Betty Justice and Olan Oaks.

Survived by Wife: Venia Kirby of Jacksboro. Brothers: Wesley Kirby of Knoxville. Roy Kirby and Wife: Lucy of Halls. Sisters: Ollie Mae Chapman of Alabama, Mamie Rutherford of Halls, and Mary Jane Meadows of Habersham. Special Friends: Betty Cross, Charles King, Ronnie Walker, and Leonard Hooks.

Funeral service will be 8 PM Wednesday, June 30 in Martin Wilson Chapel with Rev. JC Bruce and Rev. Mike Franklin officiating. Interment will be 12 Noon Thursday, July 1 in Campbell Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 PM Wednesday night before funeral service.
