Mack Dilbeck, age 87 of Vasper, TN went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 27, 2008 at Summitt View of Lake City. He was born June 19, 1921. He was a World War II veteran, a retired coal miner and also served on the Campbell County Commission Board for several terms. He was president for Reaches Black Lung Advisory Board and vice president for S.L.U. Mr. Dilbeck was a member of U.M.W.A. and was a mine safety representative. He was also a member of Campbell County Masonic Lodge #778 F&AM.

Preceded in death by Wife: Maude Lorena Dilbeck. Daughter: Judy Dilbeck-Stiffler. Son: Larry Dilbeck.

Survived by Son and Daughter in Law: Don and Linda Dilbeck and Gary and Babbi Dilbeck. Daughter in Law: Carolyn Dilbeck, wife of the late Larry Dilbeck all of Vasper. Grandchildren: Tennille Dilbeck Kennedy, Ron, Von, David, Wayne, Mike and Lindsay Dilbeck, Anglea Dilbeck Dixon and Catrina Dilbeck Burton. Great Grandhildren: Daniel and Nathan Dilbeck, Ryan, Mikalya, Madison, Mackenzie and Chloe Dilbeck, Brianna Dixon, Jacob and Johnathan Burton and Allison Kennedy. Sisters: Roberta Daugherty and Charlene Evans. Special Friend: Trula Atkins. Grand Sons in Law: Randy Dixon, SGT Jason Burton and Terry Kennedy.

Funeral Service will be 8 PM Saturday, November 29, 2008 in Martin Wilson Chapel with Rev. Ed King and Rev. Bill Slaven officiating. Interment will be 2 PM Sunday in New Vasper Cemetery with the Campbell County Honor Guard in charge of graveside services. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Saturday night before funeral service.
