Magdalene Marie Disney

Magdalene Marie Disney, age 98 of Jacksboro, went home to be with her Lord peacefully at her home on Sunday, January 12, 2025. She was born on Feb 18, 1926, to the late John Wells and Mary Alice (Bourff) Wells. She was a loving wife of 52 years, mother, grandmother, great, great-great grandmother that enjoyed spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 52 years Hugh Bart Disney; daughter Paulette Henson; granddaughter Shaunlyn Hunt several brothers and sisters.

Magdalene is survived by her son, David Disney of Virginia; daughters Carolyn Disney of Jacksboro, Drucilla (Penny) Bolton of Jacksboro, and Janet Edwards and husband Monte of Clinton; son-in-law Raymond Henson; grandchildren Bart Wayne Smith and wife Denise of LaFollette; Hillard Scott Smith of Jacksboro; Joy Lansdon and husband Adam of Clinton, and Purnell Disney and wife Karen of VA, Regina Marie Campbell and husband Keith of Jacksboro, Suzanne Nelson and husband Adam of VA, Rebecca Henson of Knox, and Christopher Smith and wife Elena of Clinton; several great-great grandchildren; and a host other relative and friends.

Visitation will be from 11:00-12:00 on Thursday, January 16, 2025, in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow at 12:00 PM with Rev. Bo Freeman officiating. Interment to follow funeral service at Woodlawn cemetery.
