Marie (Adkins) Ward

Marie (Adkins) Ward, age 75 of LaFollette, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, January 10, 2018. She was born July 26, 1942 in Campbell County to the late Jonah and Dolly (Sellers) Adkins. Marie was a member of Round Rock Baptist Church. She loved camping, flowers, puzzles, sewing, quilting, and was known as the #1 cook.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by brothers, Verlin and Ronald Adkins; sisters, Liddie Adkins, Judy Chapman, Mae Bourff, and Nancy Marlow.

Marie is survived by loving husband of 54 years, Clarence Ward of LaFollette; son, William Matthew Ward and wife, Rebecca of Caryville; daughters, Cheryl Lynn Seibers and husband, Rodney of Lake City, Karlene Denise Bullock and husband, Anthony of Caryville, Rebecca Ann Miracle and husband, Stephen of LaFollette, and Jennifer Rose Massengill and fiancé, Jeff Partin of LaFollette; brothers, J.D. Adkins and wife, Aileen of Georgia, Cornedius Adkins and wife, Freda of Massachusetts, Donald Adkins and wife, Jill of Massachusetts; sisters, Geneva Lyke of Massachusetts and Brinda Adkins of Massachusetts; ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren and host of nieces, nephews, and relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, January 15th, 2018 in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home with her funeral service to follow at 8:00 PM with Rev. Johnny Vanover officiating. Family and friends will meet at 12:15 PM on Tuesday, January 16th, 2018 at Martin Wilson Funeral Home to go in funeral procession to Campbell Memorial Gardens for 1:00 PM interment.
