Marlyn Joyce Kennedy

Marilyn Joyce Kennedy age 60 of Clairfield passed away Sunday, January 2, 2010 at the Mercy Hospital in Knoxville. She was a member of Chaska Church of God. Mrs. Kennedy enjoyed yard work, yard sales, fishing, crocheting, quilting, word puzzles, cooking, she loved her family and cricket her dog, she also enjoyed singing in church.

Preceded in death by Parents: Elmer and Gracie Welden. Brothers: Walter and Steven Welden. Sisters: Irene Welden and Bertha Guy.

Survived by Husband: Lenzy Kennedy of Lafollette. Daughters: Michelle Hoover and Husband: Eddie of Lafollette. Bobbi Gibson and Husband: Tommy of Clairfield. Hope Thornton and Boyfriend: Jeffery Miller of Lafollette. 14 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren. Brother: James Welden of Knoxville. Sisters: Alda Taylor of Lafollette, Mildred Murray of Lafollette, Bobbie Sue Dodds of Lakeland, FL., Barbara Brandenburg of Lafollette, Hanna Green of Jacksboro, and Linda Shelton of Lafollette.

Funeral service will be 8 PM Tuesday, January 4, 2010 in Martin Wilson Chapel with Rev. Lonnie Welden and Rev. Michael Waldrop officiating. Interment will be 12 PM Wednesday in Peabody Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 PM Tuesday night before funeral service.
