Mary Aldy (Welden) Taylor

Mary Aldy Johnny Welden Taylor, age 96, was born on February 8, 1929. She went home to be with her Lord on September 27, 2025. She was the oldest member of Charity Worship Center. Mary enjoyed yard sales and her beautiful flowers.

She is preceded in death by her husband James F (Tom) Taylor, her son Michael, her daughter Fay Louise Chadwell, her parents Elmer and Grace Welden, her brothers James Welden, Steve Welden, Thurman Welden, her sisters Irene Welden, Bertha Guy, Mildred Murray, Joyce Thorton, and Barbara Brandenburg, and her grandchildren Lisa Holloway, Tammy Fancher, and Tabitha Fancher, and Glen Luna (Sondra's husband).

Mary is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law Ruth and Gary Chadwell, Alta and Harry James, Sharon and Lonnie James, her sons and daughters-in-law James L. and Annita Taylor and Edward and Angel Taylor, her sisters Hannah Green, Linda Shelden, Bobby Marlow, a very special niece Patty Kitts, Mary had 17 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren ,and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at Charity Worship Center from 5:00-7:00 PM with the funeral service to follow at 7:00 PM with Rev. Lonnie Welden and Bro. Lonnie James conducting the service. Family and friends will meet at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at Martin Wilson Funeral Home to go in funeral procession to Peabody Cemetery for an 11:00 AM interment.

The family would also like to extend a special thanks to Amedisys Hospice and the nurses for the care and compassion they showed to Mary.
