Mary Helen Cable

January 19, 1919 — January 2, 2010

Mary Helen (Paul) Cable age 90 told her special friends Betty Jo and Linda on December 11, 2009 she was going to live with Jesus.  She was welcomed home by Jesus and her husband Ron on Saturday January 2, 2010. She liked to cook for her family, especially her greenbeans and cornbread dressing.  She was a member of First Baptist Church of Coolidge and attended Mt. View Independent Baptist Church when she was able. She loved to go to church, singings  and homecomings.  Mary Helen was a devoted wife to Ron Cable for 65 years, A devoted mother, grandmother  and great grand mother.  She was known in her E. Prospect neighborhood home for giving home perms to her neighbors.  She was a chartered member of the Lafollette Rescue Squad  Crewettes many years ago when it was first started.  She loved to camp and boat ride with friends on Norris Lake.  She loved her family very much and always looked forward to family birthday parties.  Mary Helen and Ron enjoyed attending all their grandchildrens ball games.

Preceded in death by husband:  Ronald Cable.  Parents: Martha and Bud Paul.  Brothers: Roy, Herbert, Buddy Jr, Fred and Edwin.  Sister, Nora.

Survived by 3 daughters and sons in law,  Delores and Bob McCulloch, Louise and Bob Benge of Lafollette, Vickie Cable and Bryson of Powell.  Brother and sister in law J. C. and Margie Paul and Mrs. Kathryn paul.  Grandchildren: Ronald  Benge and wife Deanna,  Susan McCulloch, Mike Benge and Lisa and Robert Woods.  Great Grandchildren: Zack, Andy and Spencer Benge,  Amanda and Whitney Benge, Kayla and Kolby Woods.  Special thanks to her nieces, Alice Jane  and Carolyn. Also  several nieces and nephew and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 8:00 PM Tuesday January 5, 2010 in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home with Pastor Kevin Myslivic officiating.  Interment will be 11:00 AM Wednesday in Woodlawn Cemetery.  Family will receive friends from 6 until 8 before funeral service.
