Mary Gibson

Mary Elizabeth Goins Gibson, age 79, of Knoxville, formerly of Elk Valley, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, July 30th, 2013 at home. She was a member of the Fincastle Church of God. She was a very loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother that enjoyed spending time with her family and always wanted to share the gospel with others.

She was preceded in death by her parents Ericus & Emma (Ivey) Goins and husband Charles Gibson.

She is survived by her sons Jerry W. Gibson of Clinton, Charles E. Gibson & wife Eleanor of Knoxville, and David Gibson & wife Melinda of Jacksboro; daughter Annette Patterson of Virginia; brother James A. Goins of Vero Beach, FL; Helen Roark of Powell; 8 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 2nd, 2013 from 10:00 - 11:00 am at Martin Wilson Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow the visitation at 11:00 am with Rev. Mike Smith and Rev. Jonathan Gibson officiating. Interment will follow the service at Warren Cemetery in Elk Valley.
