Mary Lou (Oakes) Marlow

Mary Lou Marlow, age 82 of Jacksboro passed away Tuesday, January 24, 2017.  She was a member of the Beech Grove Baptist Church.  Mary enjoyed painting, sewing, and spending time with her family, especially her grandkids.

She is preceded in death by parents Jasper and Ruby (Fields) Oakes; daughter-in-law Vivian Marlow; brothers Charles, Fred, and Tommy Oakes; sister Shelby Jean Perciful.

She is survived by husband Billy Marlow of Jacksboro; sons Don Marlow of Jacksboro, and Ron Marlow and wife Sandy of Ohio; brothers David Oakes and wife Mary of Jacksboro, Clifford Oakes and wife Brenda of Caryville, Raymond Oakes of Caryville, and Eugene Oakes and wife Aimee of Jacksboro; sister Nadine Oakes of Caryville; special friend Hazel Keith of Jacksboro, 7 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, and relatives.

Visitation will be 6-8 PM Friday, January 27, 2017 in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow at 8 PM.  Rev. Kenny Sharp and Rev. Tom Reese will be officiating the service.  Friends and family will meet 10:30 AM Saturday, January 28, 2017 for the 11 AM interment in Jacksboro Cemetery.
