Mary Elizabeth Proffitt

Mary Elizabeth Proffitt, age 76 of Calvin, KY, formerly of LaFollette, passed away on Tuesday, March 9, 2021. She was born on March 5, 1945 to the late Willie Bennett and Clista Carroll Bennett. Mary enjoyed cooking, singing, going to flea markets, and working.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother William "Sonny" Bennett and sisters Donna Lehitm, Dorothy Carroll, Joann Murphy, Juanita King, Wilma King, Shirley Bennett, Linda Bennett, and Betty Love.

She is survived by her sons; Darryl Proffitt of LaFollette, Derrick Proffitt of Nashville, and Darren Proffitt of LaFollette; brothers G.Y. Bennett and Carroll Bennett; sister Joyce Simmons of TN; grandchildren Colby Proffitt and Kayla Proffitt Hardy; special friend David Miracle; and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 11:00-12:00 PM on Saturday, March 13, 2021 in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home with funeral service to follow at 12:00 PM with Rev. Ronnie Freeman officiating. Interment will follow the funeral service at Powell Valley Cemetery.
