Mary Catherine Richardson

Mary Catherine Richardson of Jacksboro left this life to be with Jesus on December 29, 2014 at the lovely age of 92. She was born on February 17, 1922 at Westbourn to Ben & Ina Doughty. She married Clyde Richardson on October 23, 1938. They were married for 38 years. Mary was a retired pre-school teacher and member of Jacksboro United Methodist Church who loved her family very much and enjoyed cooking, reading, quilting, singing and visiting with friends & neighbors on the front porch.

She was preceded in death by her parents Ben & Ina Doughty; husband Clyde Richardson; son Edmond Richardson; sisters Anna Lois Broyles, Margaret Sparks and Julia Clatchy; and brother Charles Doughty.

She is survived by her daughter Ina Hatfield & husband John of Canal Fulton, OH, 4 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, several nieces & nephews and a host of friends & relatives.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 pm on Friday, January 2, 2015 in the Martin Wilson chapel with the funeral service to follow with Pastor Dave Grant officiating. Interment will be at 11:00 am on Saturday, January 3, 2015 at Campbell Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Jacksboro United Methodist Church at 108 Liberty Street Jacksboro, TN 37757.
