Maudie Ward

Maudie Ward, age 99 of Lafollette passed away Monday, November 10, 2008 at her home. Mrs. Ward was a member of Round Rock Baptist Church for 85 plus years. She loved cooking, taking care of her grandchildren and going to Shoney's. She loved the mountains, 4 wheeling and hunting ginseng.

Preceded in death by Husband: Roby Ward. Daughter: Trula Kirby. 2 Grandchildren. Parents: Fletcher and Rosie Wilson McGhee. Brothers: Carl and Arlie McGhee. Sister: Velma Watts.

Survived by Sons and Daughters in Law: Clarence and Marie Ward of Lafollette. Ralph and Jerline Ward and Ernest and Diane Ward all of Jacksboro. Daughters and Sons in Law: Pauline and Mitchell Green of Jacksboro. Evadean and James Daugherty of Caryville. Nadine and Bobby Byrge of Lafollette. 33 grandchildren, 62 great grandchildren, 23 great great grandchildren and 4 step grandchildren. Sister: Bernice Wilson of Jacksboro. Several relatives and friends.

Funeral Service will be 11 AM Thursday, November 13, 2008 in Martin Wilson Chapel with Rev. David Walker and Rev. Edmond Lowe officiating. Interment will follow in Campbell Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Wednesday night at the funeral home.
