Maxie Lea Kitts

Maxie Lea Ferguson Kitts, age 76, of LaFollette went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 21, 2012. She was a member of Fincastle United Methodist Church. She loved her family very much. She enjoyed making baby quilts for newborns, flower gardening, and collecting glass and kitchen wear.

She was preceded in death by her parents Leonard Ferguson & Agnes Blankenship Ferguson and father & mother-in-law Albert & Mary Elizabeth "Lizzy" Kitts.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years Dennis Kitts, daughters Pam Garner of LaFollette, Sherry Carlson of Jacksboro, sons Dennis "Randy" Kitts and wife Rhonda of Jacksboro, Marty Kitts & wife Becky of Speedwell, Albert Kitts & wife Kelly of LaFollette, 11 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, sister Effie Goins & husband Jim Goins, brothers John Ferguson & wife Devonia, Jack and Bruce Ferguson, and several nieces & nephews.

Family will receive friends Saturday, February 25, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. in the Martin Wilson Chapel. Funeral service will follow the visitation with Rev Lynn Ray and Rev Lonnie Eldridge officiating. Interment will be on Sunday, February 26, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the Woodlawn Cemetery.
