Mildred E. Hatmaker

Mildred E. Hatmaker, age 87 of Caryville, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, at her home. She was born on December 27, 1935, to the late Lacy Evans and Bethania McGhee Evans. Mildred was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, that enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed doing embroidery, quilting, and watching TV.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband Billy "Poor Boy" Hatmaker; brother Leonard Evans; and sisters Frankie Adkins, Evelyn Yancy, and JoAnn Leach.

She is survived by her son Garry Gibson and Karla of Delaware, Ohio; daughter Diane Crisp and Rick of Caryville; stepdaughter Brenda; brother Marvin Evans and wife Robin of Jacksboro; 9 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Family and friends will meet on Saturday, November 25, 2023, at Woodlawn Cemetery for an 12:00 PM graveside service with Rev. Clyde Douglas officiating.
