Nancy Sue Burton

Nancy Sue Gross Burton, age 60, of Lafollette entered into eternal life Monday, August 23, 2010 at St. Mary's Medical Center of Campbell County. She attended West Walden Church of God. Nancy Sue was a very caring, loving person who tried to help so many in her life. She was loved by all who knew her. Her greatest joy came from her daughter and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by Son: Jeffery Paul; Parents: John and Willie Bell Ward Gross; Brothers: Freddie, Lou Vernie, and Johnny Gross, Sisters: Edith Gross and Mary Sparks.

Ms. Burton is survived by Daughter and Son-in-Law: Patricia and Cleveland Shoupes Jr.; Granddaughter: Chasty Slayback; Grandsons: Chris and daughter in law Samatha Slayback and David Slayback; Great Granddaughter: Aliyah Slayback; Brothers: Robert Lynn, Charles, and Ralph Gross all of Lafollette; James Gross of Dayton, TN; Michael Wayne Gross of Jacksboro; Carlos Ray Gross of Lake City, TN; Eugene Gross of OK; Sisters: Sarah Lou Ayers of Lafollette and Roberta Ann Miller of Jacksboro; a host of nieces, nephews and other friends and relatives who will miss her dearly.

Funeral service will be 8 PM Wednesday, August 25 in Martin Wilson Chapel with Rev. Jasper Walden and Rev. Jay Walden officiating. Interment will be 11 AM Thursday in Cumberland View Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 PM Wednesday night before funeral service.
