Nannie Hicks

Nannie Hicks age 82 of LaFollette went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 15, 2008 at the St. Mary's Medical Center in Knoxville. She was a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church. She was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother that loved spending time with her family whom she loved very much. She enjoyed attending church and was ready to travel anytime anyone wanted to take a trip. Mrs. Hicks touched many lives and was a friend to everyone she came in contact with. She will be greatly missed by family and friends.

Preceded in death by Husband: Willie Hicks. Parents: Calvin and Lydia Jackson Lindsay. Brother: Jim Lindsay. Sisters: Maggie Orick and Ruth Lindsay. Step Daughter: Joyce Vinsant.

Survived by: Garnett Summers of LaFollette. Sons and Daughters in Law: Bobby and Brenda Hicks of LaFollette. Rev. David and Dianna Hicks of Jacksboro. Bill and Kathy Hicks of LaFollette. Daughters and Sons in Law: Joy Lee and Jack Smith. Donna and Vick Morris. Tammy and Lynn Bostic. Step Daughter: Garnetta and Husband: Dennis Henegar all of LaFollette. 7 Grandchildren, 3 Step Grandchildren, 10 Great Grandchildren, and 3 Step Great Grandchildren. Brother: John Lindsay of FL. Sister: Mae Wyrick of FL. Very Special Family Friend: Tim Imber. Several other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 8 PM Wednesday, June 18 in Martin Wilson Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Orick and Rev. David Hicks officiating. Interment will be 11 AM Thursday in Bakers Forge Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 PM Wednesday night before funeral service.
