Nathaniel Douglas

September 12, 1962 — May 29, 2008

Nathaniel Douglas, age 45 of Speedwell passed away Thursday, May 29, 2008 at Claiborne County Hospital. Mr. Douglas was a member of Elm Grove Baptist Church. He was a loving father and caring husband who enjoyed the outdoors especially opossum hunting with his dog Teddy. He had a special way with animals and could make pets out of any of them.

Preceded in death by Parents: Henry Jack and Sarah Leona King Douglas. Sister: Jackie Baird.

Survived by Wife: Joyce Ann McGlade Douglas. Son: Christopher Douglas. Daughter: Cassie Douglas all of Speedwell. Brothers and Sisters in Law: Freddie and Linda Douglas of Arthur, TN., Ernie and Linda Douglas of Speedwell, Frank and Debra Douglas of Anderson County, Ike and Ann Douglas of LaFollette, Carl and Tina Douglas of Caryville, Wade and Vivian Douglas of Speedwell. Sisters: Sharon Jackson of Harrogate, Betsy Smith of Arthur, TN., Charlotte and Jay Willoughby of Michigan, Rita Weaver of Speedwell, Deborah and Johnny Daniels of Arthur, TN. Several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers; Jimmy Dale Harp, Jim & Keith Wishown, Mark & Tim Douglas & Jason Weaver.  Honorary pallbearers; John Dewie Harp, Ricky Wishown, Cody Anderson, Kent Douglas, Travis Rieda, James Lewis & Collin Anderson.

Funeral Service will be 3 PM Sunday, June 1, 2008 in Martin Wilson Chapel with Rev. Dewayne Byrd and Rev. David Fuson officiating. Graveside service will be 11 AM Monday in Chadwell Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 PM Sunday before funeral service.

Martin Wilson Funeral Home of LaFollette is in charge of arrangements.
