Norma Jean (Phillips) Lester

Norma Jean Lester, age 79 of Jacksboro passed away Monday, May 8, 2017.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother who loved her family dearly. Norma enjoyed watching the lady Vols basketball team play, and loved being involved with her grandchildren and great grandchildren's sports.  She also loved gardening.

She is preceded in death by son Stanley Lester Jr.; daughter Kimberly Lester; parents Charlie and Ruby (Jones) Phillips; sisters Charlsey Allen, and Yvonne Miller.

She is survived by husband of 62 years, Stanley Lester Sr. of Jacksboro; sons Mark Lester and wife Kathy of Knoxville, Brent Lester and wife Lisa of LaFollette; daughters Cathy Sharp of LaFollette, Cindy Riggs and husband Jeff of LaFollette, Tammy Day and husband Billy of Jacksboro; brothers Jimmy Phillips of Michigan, Ronnie Phillips of Michigan, David Phillips of Florida; sisters Gail Castillo of Florida, Carol Phillips of South Carolina; grandchildren Jamie Bunch (Aron), Lindsey Frazier (Chad), Christy Lester, Marlana Lester (Mike), Jordan Lester, Chad Riggs (Melissa), Jonathan Riggs (Caitlin), Josh Lester, Jake Lester, Sean Doney (Megan), Tyler Doney (Whitney), Dustin Ward, Chloe Lester, Will Lester, and Bella Hope Lester; great grandchildren Jayden, Morgan, Dylan, Kamryn, Macy Ann, Levi, Corri, Gabriella, Aubrey, Abigail, Brady, Leighton, Kinsley, and Emma; several nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Visitation will be 6-8 PM Thursday, May 11, 2017 in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home followed by the funeral service at 8 PM with Rev. Glenn Day officiating.  Friends and family will meet 10:30 AM Friday, May 12, 2017 at Martin Wilson Funeral Home for the 11 AM interment in Woodlawn Cemetery.
