Oneda Campbell

Oneda Wilson Campbell, age 80 of Lafollette, went home to be with her Lord on Thursday, December 4, 2008 at the UT Hospital. She was born October 25, 1928 in Lafollette. She worked many years in sewing factories both in Lafollette and Knoxville. She became instant friends with all her coworkers. All that knew Oneda loved her. She loved her church. She was a loving wife and mother that loved her family. She was the wife of James "Jaybird" Campbell for 61 years.

She was preceded in death by her Parents: Jack and Francis Rutherford Wilson. 3 infant children and 2 great grandchildren. Sisters: Novella Gerrish and Verdie Ivey.

She is survived by Husband: James "Jaybird" Campbell of Lafollette. Sons and Daughters in Law: Jimmy and Patsy Campbell of Lafollette. Elmer and Janet Campbell of Lafollette. Bobby and Carla Campbell of Pigeon Forge, TN. Daughters and Sons in Law: Anna Lou Branam of Jacksboro. Shirley and Carl Walker of Demory. Linda and Ronnie Partin of Jacksboro and Wanda Campbell. Special Friend: Jimmy Elkins of Jacksboro. Brothers: Albert, O.D. and Danny Wilson of Lafollette. Sisters: Betty Robinson of Lafollette. Mable Wilson of Lafollette and Mary Jane Willoughby of Jacksboro. Grandchildren: Mark Branam, Tammy Day, Aaron Campbell, Jennifer Russell, Elmer James Campbell JR., Amy Kitts, Monica Campbell, Amanda Wilson, Robert Campbell, Eric Campbell, Penny Horne and Carl Walker JR. 21 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great Great Grandchildren. Oneda is also survived by countless nieces, nephews and a host of loving friends.

Funeral Service will be 2 PM Monday, December 8, 2008 in Martin Wilson Chapel with Rev. Pat Ayers, Rev. Hugh Adkins JR., Rev. Timmy Adkins and Rev. Tommy Adkins officiating. Interment will follow in Bakers Forge Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Sunday night at the funeral home.
