Opal Gibson

Opal Paul Gibson, age 67 of Lafollette passed away Thursday, August 5, 2010 at the U.T. Medical Center in Knoxville. She was a member of Long Hollow Baptist Church. Opal was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family. She loved raising a garden, quilting, cooking, camping and reading her Bible.

Preceded in death by Parents: John and Stella Davis Paul. Brothers: Charlie and Silas Paul. Sisters: Louise Burrell, Azlee Paul, Bessie Rucker and Louie Hammel.

Survived by Husband: Billy Gibson. Daughter: Teresa Gibson. Grandchildren: Christy, Allen and Bryan. Great Grandchildren: Gracie and Dylan. Brother and Sister in Law: Jess L. and Foxy Paul all of Lafollette. Several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral Service will be 1 PM Saturday, August 7, 2010 in Martin Wilson Chapel with Rev. Don Allen officiating. Interment will follow in Glade Springs Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11 AM to 1 PM Saturday before funeral service.
