Oray Jessie

ORay Jessie, age 69 of Jacksboro passed away Sunday, December 28, 2008 at his home. Mr. Jessie was a member of Cumberland View Baptist Church. He was the founder of Pinecrest Volunteer Fire Department and an active lifetime member. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and anything to do with the outdoors. His family was his life. He enjoyed serving his community and living life to its fullest.

Preceded in death by Wife: Patricia Jessie. Granddaughter: Amber Rae Jessie. Parents: Edna and Oscar Jessie. Brother: Dallas Jessie. Sisters: Wavalee Hix and Gladys Owens Jessie.

Survived by Sons and Daughters in Law: Marvin Ray and Jackie Jessie of Knoxville and Brian Scott and Melissa Jessie of Lafollette. Daughters and Sons in Law: Rachelle and Rick McNeeley of Jacksboro and Malinda and Jim Perry of Caryville. 9 Grandchildren and 6 Great Grandchildren. Brothers: Jewel Jessie of Georgia and James Leo Jessie of Jacksboro. Sisters: Joyce Ann Bratcher and Freda Collins both of Lafollette.

Funeral Service will be 8 PM Wednesday, December 31, 2008 in Martin Wilson Chapel with Rev. James Dunn officiating. Interment will be 11 AM Thursday, January 1, 2009 in Campbell Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 PM Wednesday night with the Pinecrest  Volunteer Fire Department conducting a ceremony from 7:30 to 8 PM .
