Oscar Brock

Oscar Brock, age 77 of Jacksboro, TN. passed away at home on Saturday, August 27, 2016 after a courageous fight with cancer. He was a jack of all trades and a master of them all. He held many occupations, which include U.S. Air Force and 40 years of coal mining. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He loved hunting, fishing, digging ginseng, playing golf, and spending time at his "pond." But most of all, he loved spending time with his family. Oscar was an amazing man who could always be depended on for anything his family needed. He will be missed beyond measure.

He is preceded in death by parents Link and Alice Brock; brothers Frank, Earnest, and Leon Brock; sister Christine Kosta; father and mother -in -law Oza and Bertha Simpson; special stepdaughter Regina Spradlin.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 42 years, Gerri Brock; beloved son and daughter-in-law Brad and Becky Brock of Caryville, TN.; adored grandchildren Dakota, Elijah, and Reece; Special stepson Greg Jeffers and Donna of LaFollette; special stepdaughters Gail Gross and Bill of Baker, Florida, and Jeannie Powers and Frank of Clinton, TN., Kay Allen and Faron of Caryville, TN.; special step son-in-law Ronnie Spradlin; very special friend James Boshears and Rachel of Ten Mile, TN.; 10 step grandchildren, 17 step great grandchildren; brothers Everett Brock and David Brock; sisters Debbie Brock, Betty Station, Nadine Kunich, and Sue Woodard.

Visitation for Oscar will be 6-8 PM Thursday, September 1, 2016 in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home; service to follow at 8 PM with Rev Don Allen and James Boshears officiating. Family and Friends will meet at 12 PM Friday, September 2, 2016 at Fairview Cemetery for the interment.

Martin Wilson Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements.
