Otis Lee Swangin

Otis Lee Swangin, age 71 of Jacksboro passed away Thursday July 19, 2012. He was a member of Davis Chapel Baptist Church. Otis enjoyed playing music with his friends and his grandson; he loved being a police officer and spending time with his family and friends.

Preceded in death by: Son, Tommy Swangin. Parents: Riley and Mary Owens Swangin. Brother: Louadean Swangin. Sisters: Dorothy Swangin and Geraldine Parkerson. Great grandchild: Brianna Romines.

Survived by wife, Joyce Swangin of Jacksboro. Daughter: Connie Sue Swangin of Scott County. Brother: Ed Swangin of Whitley City, KY. Sister: Lois Tuscher of Jacksboro. 5 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 8 PM Friday July 20, 2012 in Martin Wilson Chapel with Rev. Joey Rutherford officiating. Interment will be 12 Noon Saturday July 21, 2012 in Queener cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6 until 8 PM before the funeral service on Friday.
