Paul Wayne Lynch

Paul Wayne Lynch, age 75 of Caryville, passed away on Friday, September 2, 2022. He was born September 9, 1946 in LaFollette to the late Glenn and Lois Kate (Braden) Lynch. Paul attended Tennessee Tech University and Union College, where he graduated with a B.S. and Masters Degree in Education. He was employed for 32 years by the Campbell County Board of Education, where he taught math and history at LaFollette Middle School and Campbell County High School. Paul was a member of Central Baptist Church and served as the adult Sunday school teacher. He loved reading and studying his bible. Paul enjoyed gardening, helping anyone he could, but most of all spending time with his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Ada Leigh Moore; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Rev. Dan and Mary Daugherty; his brother-in-law's; Sam Daugherty, Eldon Newport, and Paul Daugherty; sister-in-law, Kathleen Daugherty.

Paul is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Nancy Daugherty Lynch of Caryville; his son, Dr. Shaun Lynch and his wife, Dr. Kayla Lynch of Caryville; his daughter, Mary Moore and husband, Scott of Caryville; his grandchildren, Madison, Jonah, Katie, Teddy, and Eva; his sister, Linda Terry and husband, Don of Lenior City; special family members, Geneva Newport, Mary Magdelene Daugherty, John Daughtery, Margaret Daughtery, James and Evadean Daughtery; several special nieces, nephews, and host of other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 7, 2022 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home with his funeral service to follow at 7:00 PM with Rev. Lonnie Welden, Rev. Bill Braden, and Rev. Tim Moore officiating. Family and friends will meet on Thursday, September 8, 2022 at the funeral home at 10:15 AM to go in funeral procession to Campbell Memorial Gardens for a 11:00 AM interment.
