Paul Dewey McCullah passed away on July 27, 2008. Dewey was born September 12, 1948 in LaFollette, TN. He was a graduate of LaFollette High School and a veteran of the Untied States Army serving in the Vietnam War. Dewey was a chess master who had played continuous postal chess with his brother Perry for the past 20 years. He and his brother Dan shared the love of U.T. sports and attended games together.
He was preceded in death by his Parents: George Flem McCullah and Jessie Wilson Carroll McCullah.
Those left to cherish his memory are brothers; Danny McCullah and wife Faith of Jacksboro, Perry McCullah and wife Kathy of Lexington, NC. Half Brothers: Dennis McCullah of LaFollette and Lenville McCullah of Deer Lodge, TN. Sisters: Nancy Spradlin and husband John of Lynchburg, Ohio. Sharon Hatmaker of Harriman, TN. Mary Jordan of West Chester, Ohio and June Basone of Washington, MI. Nephew and niece: Cody and Megan McCullah who "Uncle Dewey" loved and encouraged throughout their lives. Many other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Tuesday, July 29, 2008 in Martin Wilson Chapel. Interment will be 11 AM Wednesday in Bakers Forge Cemetery.
