Pauline (Finley) Gibson

Pauline Finley Gibson, age 84 returned to her heavenly home on December 21, 2017.  She passed away peacefully in her sleep at home in Jacksboro.  She was born on November 19, 1933 to the late Lester & Rosa (Phillips) Finley.  She married the love of her life on January 6th, 1948.  Together they had 4 children, 10 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.  Pauline worked at the Shirt Factory in LaFollette for over 30 years, then continued her career at Levi's in Knoxville until she retired in 1997.  Pauline loved hosting family dinners.  She had a passion for cooking, bargain shopping, collecting dolls, and cookbooks.  Pauline never met a stranger, and no one ever left her house hungry.

She is preceded in death by husband Douglas Gibson Sr.; parents Lester & Rosa Finley; brothers Austin and Tommy Finley; sisters Pearl Choate and Grace Crabtree.

She is survived by sister and brother-in-law Katie & Larry Watts of LaFollette; sons and daughters-in-law Kenneth & Lois Gibson of Jacksboro, Douglas Jr. & Jean Gibson of Jacksboro, Gregory & Hazel Orick Gibson of Caryville; daughter Nancy Gibson of Jacksboro; 10 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be 5-7 PM Tuesday, December 26, 2017 in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home followed by funeral service at 7 PM with Rev. Larry Watts and Rev. Ron Williams officiating.  Friends and family will meet 11 AM Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at Campbell Memorial Gardens for the interment.
