He is preceded in death by wife Barbara Grace Adkins; parents Fred and Amy (Kimberlin) Adkins; brothers Walter, Chester, and Lester Adkins; sister Brenda Adkins.

He is survived by sons James Adkins & wife Julie of Seymour, TN, Robert Adkins & wife Tracy of Kingston, TN, Thomas Adkins & wife Renee of Powell, TN; daughters Deborah Mathis & husband Tom of Powell, TN, and Catherine Homley of LaFollette; brothers Danny Adkins and wife Janice, Don Adkins, Jerry Adkins, Billy Adkins & wife Barbara, Lloyd Adkins, all of LaFollette; sister Helen Adkins of LaFollette; 9 grandchildren & 5 great grandchildren.

Graveside service for Raymond is 11 AM Friday, September 01, 2017 in Woodlawn cemetery.
