Raymond Harold Lawson

Raymond "Ray" Lawson, age 81, was born August 25, 1934 in LaFollette to the late Walter and Pearl Lawson. He departed life February 09, 2016 at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge. He enjoyed gardening, reading and studying his bible, attending church, and spending time with his family.
He is preceded in death by his father and mother-in-law Aaron White and Rachel White.
He attended Fincastle Church of God. He married Helena White on June 22, 1957 in LaFollette, she survives.
Also surviving are son Danny Ray Lawson of Knoxville, grandson Daniel Aaron Lawson and wife Lindsey of LaFollette. Great grandchildren Eli and Kynslee. Former daughter-in-law Kathy Bailey of LaFollette. Brother Johnny Lawson and wife Shirley of Jacksboro. Sister Willie Clotfelter and husband Homer of Rocky Top. Pastor and special friend Mike Smith and wife Elaine of LaFollette. Special friend Jeff Campbell of Knoxville. Several special nieces and nephews. Special companion his dog "Mickey."
Visitation is scheduled for 6pm-8pm Friday, February 12, 2016 at Fincastle Church of God. Funeral will follow at 8pm with Pastor Michael Smith and Rev Bill Floyd officiating. Graveside service will be Saturday, February 13, 2016 at 11 am at Woodlawn Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Jason Vann, Chris Vann, Jeff Campbell, Greg Tackett, Johnny Mack Seibers, and David Lawson.
