Rex Lynn Price

Rex Lynn Price, age 45 of Duff passed away Wednesday, October 22, 2008 at his home. He was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church. Rex started his firefighting career as a junior fire fighter around the age of 11. He was actively involved in several organizations such as the rescue squad, search and rescue, White Oak volunteer fire department where he served as Assistant Chief. He also served with the LaFollette Fire Department for 18 years. He devoted over 30 years of his life to saving lives in this county. He was one of a kind and a wonderful husband, father, son, brother, grandfather, uncle and dear friend to many. He was greatly appreciated, loved and will be dearly missed.

Preceded in death by Father: Garrett Price. Grandparents: Roosevelt and Cora Ellison and Harry and Mary Price.

Survived by Wife: Debra Price of Duff. Daughters and Son in Law: Jessica and Terry Durham of LaFollette and Mary Price of Duff. Granddaughter: Cassidy Durham. Mother: Nola Lowe of LaFollette. Brother: Michael Price of Nashville. Sisters: Penny Sammons of LaFollette and Tonya Gerhert of Churchill, TN. Several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral Service will be 2 PM Saturday, October 25, 2008 in Martin Wilson Chapel with Rev. Cecil Delk officiating. Interment will follow in Beeler Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4 to 9 PM Friday at the funeral home.
