Richard Sherman Brantley

Richard Sherman Brantley, Sr., age 64, of LaFollette passed away on Saturday, December 21st, 2013. He was a very loving husband of 43 years, father, and grandfather that enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He loved to fish, work on cars, remodel houses, or anything to do with his hands.

He was preceded in death by his father Ivo Brantley; son Richard Sherman Brantley, Jr., brother Marvin Brantley, and infant brothers David and Jerry Brantley.

He is survived by his mom Ruth McCarty of Speedwell; wife Roseann Brantley of LaFollette; daughters Cynthia Allen of LaFollette, Jennifer Brantley of LaFollette, and Erica Hopper & husband Jack of Speedwell; brothers Owen Brantley & wife Lillian of Conyers, GA, Jack Brantley of Speedwell, and Tommy Brantley of Bay City, MI; sister Shelia Brantley of Georgia; and grandchildren Johnathan and Alyssa Brantley, Jack and Eric Hopper, and Jacob Allen.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 800 pm on Friday, December 27th, 2013 in the Martin Wilson Chapel. Funeral service will follow the visitation with Rev. Leroy Braden officiating. Interment with be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, December 28th, 2013 at McCarty Cemetery.
