Richard Stephen Johnson

Richard (Rick) Stephen Johnson, age 60, passed away on Sunday, September 7, 2014 at The University of Tennessee Medical Center. Richard was a member of Cedar Hill Baptist church. Loving husband of 25 years, father, grandfather and devoted patriot that enjoyed fishing, camping and watching Formula 1 Racing with his family. He was a retired veteran of the US Army of 24 years having served with 101st, 82nd the 509th and 503rd Airborne units.

Proceeded in death by brother Michael Johnson.

Survived by wife Mary Johnson of LaFollette; sons Ryan & Wendy Johnson of Dayton, OH and Sean Johnson of Boston, MA; daughters Lindsay Thompson of Dayton, OH and Mary & Keith Gonzalez of LaFollette; parents Reed & Carol Johnson of Englewood, OH; brother Douglas Johnson of Englewood, OH; sister Cynthia Thompson of Ovida, FL; grandchildren Dallas and Dezmond Johnson, Darrian Thompson, Mariah Gonzalez and Keith Anthony Gonzalez; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Friday, September 12, 2014 in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home and 10-12 Saturday, September 13, 2014 at Cedar Hill Baptist Church. Funeral service will follow at noon with Rev. Ronnie Arnold officiating with interment following at Bakers Forge Cemetery.
