Richard Allen King, age 55 of Jacksboro passed away Saturday, November 20, 2010 at the Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge. He was a member of Jacksboro Church of Christ. Richard enjoyed fishing, camping, the outdoors, the lakes and yard work. He loved being with his grandkids and enjoyed family time. He also enjoyed family trips.
Preceded in death by Granddaughter: Addison King. Mother: Laura Ellen Jones.
Survived by Wife: Elwanda King of Jacksboro. Son: Terry Allen King of Jacksboro. Daughters and Sons in Law: Tracy and Daron Douglas of Lenoir City and Tasha and Brandon Mize of Atlanta, GA. Grandchildren: Taylor King Douglas, Tyler Douglas, Kayden King and Kingston Douglas. Father: Frazier King of Elk Valley. Brothers: Frazier King Jr. of Jacksboro, Marion Lee King of Jacksboro, Jeffery Dean King of Florida and Tommy Lee Jones of Lafollette. Sisters: Debbie King of Greenville, TN, Nancy Lay of Elk Valley and Teresa Booker of GA. Several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Funeral Service will be 8 PM Monday, November 22, 2010 in Martin Wilson Chapel with Tommy Robertson, Carl Hicks and George Wright officiating. Interment will be 11 AM Tuesday in Campbell Memorial Gardens with the Campbell County Honor Guard in charge of graveside service. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Monday night before funeral service.
