Robert "Bob" Wilson

Robert William "Bob" Wilson, age of 79 of LaFollette, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 11, 2021. He was born to the late Bill Wilson Jr. and Beulah (Hembree) Wilson on February 24, 1942.  He enjoyed polishing on his truck, which had to be a Chevy. He also enjoyed visiting people, hanging out at the garage, especially at Kitts Paint and Body, riding his four-wheeler, and playing cards at the Rock. He especially enjoyed his dog Blackie and loved spending time with his family and friends. Bob retired from CSX railroad after 25 years of service and a retired US Army Veteran.

In addition to his parents Bob is preceded in death by his wife Cathy Wilson.

He is survived by his sons Robbie Wilson of LaFollette and Erick Brandenburg and wife Amber of LaFollette; daughters Teresa Ogg and husband Gary of Jacksboro, Tina Smith and husband Billy of Jacksboro, Leann Copeland and husband David of Jacksboro, and Elisa Brandenburg and fiancé Stanley Heatherly of Jacksboro; mother of his children Carolyn Wilson; sisters Ruth Clotfelter and husband Frank of LaFollette and Betty Russell and husband Stanley of Indiana; nine grandchildren; six great grandchildren and one on the way; special friends Mike Bowlin and Junior Walden; and several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 4:00-7:00 PM on Sunday, March 14, 2021 in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home with funeral service to follow at 7:00 PM with Rev. Harry James and Rev. Leon Fritts officiating. The family and friends will meet on Monday, March 15, 2021 at 10:15AM to go in funeral procession to Campbell Memorial Gardens for a 11:00 AM interment with Military Honors by the Campbell County Honor Guard.

The family would like to give a special thank you to the nurses of Caris Hospice and Cumberland Village Nursing Home for the loving care and kindness that was shown to our father.
