Robert Dennis Nelson

Robert Nelson, age 72 of Jacksboro passed away Tuesday, March 22, 2016. He was a member of Ford Town Baptist Church. Robert enjoyed gardening, going to church, attending ballgames, trips, spending time with family and grandkids that he loved very much.

He is preceded in death by wife Helen Jean Nelson; parents Elmer and Ola (Lowe) Nelson.

He is survived by his son Robert (Charlene) Nelson of Sweetwater, TN.; daughter Peggy (Danny) Norman of Jacksboro; brothers Rev. Junior Nelson of LaFollette and Henry Nelson of Jacksboro; sister Shirley Trent of Florida; grandchildren Kaleigh, Dakota, and Gracie Norman, Holli Lopez, Krystin Jones, Kirsten McCallie and Alexa Nelson.

Visitation for Robert will be 5-8 pm Thursday, March 24, 2016 in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow at 8 pm with Rev. Danny Norman and Rev. Josh Cagley officiating. Friends and family will meet at Martin Wilson Funeral Home at 10:15 am on Friday, March 25, 2016 for the procession to Willoughby Cemetery for the 11:00 am interment.
