Roger Dale Surber

Roger Dale Surber, age 55, passed away Tuesday, January 4, 2011. He was born August 27, 1955 in Ash County, NC and was the son of Cecil and Clara Surber of Ash County, NC.

Preceded in death by Father: Cecil Surber.

Survived by Wife: Pamela Ruth (Vance) Surber of LaFollette, Daughter: Lisa Jean Smith and Husband: John Smith, Grandson: Alex Raven Lovette of Wilksboro, NC, Son: Jackson Lee Surber and Wife: Tessa Faye Surber, Granddaughter: Alyssa Aileen Surber and Grandson: Johnathon Lee Surber, Son: Thomas Matthew Surber and Wife: Monica Ray Surber and Grandson: Logan Kyle Surber of LaFollette . He leaves behind Extended family and many dear friends. He will be loved and missed by all.

The family request that no flowers be sent. Those who wish to make a donation in his name can do so through the funeral home.

Funeral service will be 1 PM Thursday, January 6th in Martin Wilson Chapel with Rev. Steve Elkins officiating. Interment will follow in Shelby Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12 until 1 PM Thursday before funeral service.
