Roscoe Thompson

Roscoe Thompson, age 74 passed away Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at LaFollette Medical Center. He was of the Baptist faith. Roscoe enjoyed fishing, riding in the mountains, and hunting. He was a very kind and humble man that loved his family, grandkids, and great grandkids very much and will be greatly missed.

He is preceded in death by his parents Frank and Linda (Lawson) Thompson; brothers Frank, Homer, and Teddy Thompson; sisters Glenna Cupp and Lela Daugherty.

He is survived by wife Carolyn Thompson of Caryville; daughters Sondra Smith and the late Ronny Smith of Caryville, and Cyndi (Billy) Young of Jacksboro; brother Jimmy Thompson of Speedwell; sister Caroline Daugherty of Anderson County and Mary Lou Pike of Indiana; grandchildren Dustin, Amanda, Brittany, and Toby; great grandchildren Bryden, Branson, Payton, Zailey, and Brantlee; a host of many family and friends.

Family will receive friends for Mr. Thompson Friday, May 6, 2016 from 6-8 PM in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home, service to follow at 8:00 PM with Rev. Don Allen and Rev. Tommy Reece officiating. Friends and family will meet Saturday, May 7, 2016 at 11:15 AM for the 12:00 PM interment at Queener Cemetery. Campbell County Honor Guard will be in charge of the Military Service.
