Roy Lee Barnes, age 74 of Lafollette passed away Thursday, January 29, 2009 at his home.

Preceded in death by Son: Perry Beals. Brother: Johnny Massengill. Parents: John and Laura Thompson Barnes.

Survived by Sons: William John Beals of Clairfield, Bobby Barnes of Lafollette and Billy Joe Barnes of Florida. Daughters: Helen Ann Hamblin, Tinie Hamblin and Billie Hamblin all of Clairfield, Sherry Barnes of Middlesboro and Alisha Tidwell of Lafollette. 8 Grandchildren. Brother: Wendell Barnes of Florida. Special Brother: Roy Lee Green SR of Lafollette. Sisters: Henrietta Barnes of Lake City, Doddie and Jerrie of Florida and Erma of Lafollette. Special Sister in Law: Faye Green. Several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral Service will be 8 PM Sunday, February 1, 2009 in Martin Wilson Chapel. Interment will be 11 AM Monday in Bakers Forge Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Sunday night before funeral service.
