Ruby Ayers

Ruby Ayers age 74 of Pioneer passed way Thursday, May 21, 2009 at the Jellico Community Hospital. She loved sewing, gardening, cooking, and going to church but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family and serving God.

Preceded in death by Husband; Clay Ayers. Grandson: Christopher Moore. Sons: Cecil and Ray Ayers. Brothers: Odell, John, Floyd, and Sherman Wilburn. Daughter: Rose Powers.

Survived by Sons: Darrell Ayers, Clifford Ayers, Dallas Ayers, and Roland Ayers all of LaFollette.  Timothy Ayers of Oneida. Daughters: Sharon Johnson of Pioneer, and Della Knick of GA. Son: Dennis Ayers of MI. 25 Grandchildren and 18 Great Grandchildren. Sisters: Opal Branam of Pioneer  Hazel Osborne of LaFollette, and Emma Lee Campbell of Pioneer.
And a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 8 PM Saturday, May 23 in Martin Wilson Chapel with Rev. Mike Hoskins and Rev. Pat Ayers officiating. Interment will be 11 AM Sunday in Davis Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 PM Saturday night before funeral service.
