Ruby Lawson

Ruby McNew Lawson passed away at the age of 88 on Saturday February 19, 2011 at her home in Mt. Paran. She was a charter member of Bethel Baptist Church for over 25 years and very strong in her faith.

Preceded in death by: Her Beloved Husband of over 40 years, Raymond Harrison Lawson. Parents: Wesley and Mertie McCreary McNew. Sister: Eda Eldridge.

Survived by: Daughter: Rhonda Bunch of Jacksboro. Granddaughter: Renee and husband Preston McCulley of Ind. Grandson: Eddie Bunch and Fiancée, Amber McDonald of Jacksboro. Great Grandchildren: Joshua and Makenzie McCulley and Jordan Shoffner. Sister: Jewel Cox of Georgia. Brothers: Paul McNew of Crossville and William McNew of Texas. Special friend: Rita Smiddy. Host of other relatives and friends. The family will again meet Ruby one day in Heaven because of her strong faith in Jesus and the beliefs she has passed on. She will be sadly missed by anyone whose life she has touched.

Funeral service will be 8 PM Wednesday February 23, 2011 in Martin Wilson Chapel with Dr. Clarence Duncan and Rev. Wesley Duncan officiating. Interment will be 10 AM Thursday February 24 in Willoughby cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 PM before funeral service.
