Ruby (Ledford) York

Ruby York, age 81 of LaFollette went home to be with Jesus Tuesday, July 9, 2019.  She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.  Ruby enjoyed spending time with her family, spending time outside, and gardening.

She is preceded in death by husband Murphy York; son Leroy York; parents John and Edith Ledford; daughter Sue Ann Wallace; brothers Raymond, Alvin, Johnny, and Ernest Ledford; sisters Marie Hinkle, Flossie Jones, and Annie Ledford.

She is survived by sons Willis, Bobby, Kermit, Larry, and Billy York, all of LaFollette; daughters Patsy York of Jacksboro, Joy Siler of LaFollette, Kathy Zendall Ward of Caryville, and Martha Ward of LaFollette; brother Danny Ledford of White Oak; sister Wionna Ledford of Pontiac, Michigan; 22 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be 10 AM - 11 AM Friday, July 12, 2019 in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home followed by 11 AM funeral service with Rev. Sampson Ridenour officiating.   Following funeral service friends and family will go in procession to Woodlawn Cemetery.
