Ruth Lawson

Ruth Lawson, age 78, of Duff, Tn passed away Saturday November 8, 2014. She loved to sing with Woodson Gap singers, enjoyed Lady Vols basketball and loved cooking for her family whom she loved very much.

Preceded in death by husband Earl Lawson, parents John Will and Florence Mahan Brown, brother Claude Brown and sister Maggie Brown.

Survived by son Tony Lawson of Knoxville, daughter Michelle Gillum of Clinton, grandchildren ; Jeffery Lawson of Covington, Ky, Jacqueline McDowell of Stokesdale, NC, and Joey Gillum of Seattle, WA, brothers Walter Brown and W. H. Brown both of Barbourville, Ky, sisters Beuanna Williamson of Cincinnati Oh and Margie Rhodes of Pineville, Ky, several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Family will receive friends 5:00-7:00 pm Monday November 10, 2014 in Martin Wilson Chapel funeral service will follow with Rev. Wade Walls officiating. Interment will be 1:00 pm Tuesday November 11, 2014 in Barbourville City cemetery in Barbourville, Ky.
