Ruth Stittums, age 94 of LaFollette passed away Wednesday, March 22, 2017. She was born in Oliver Springs, Tennessee, but lived most of her life in LaFollette. She was a member of Wynn Community Church, where she taught Sunday school and served as Church Secretary for many years. Ruth loved the Lord, and enjoyed helping others.
She is preceded in death by husband J.C. Stittums; daughter Brenda Lynn Stittums; parents Raymond and Ora (Bailey) Kesterson; sister Alma Coker of Strawberry Plains, brothers Onard Kesterson of Campbell County, James "Jim" Kesterson of Campbell County, Alvin Kesterson of Knox County and John Kesterson of Campbell County; special friend Conel Shaw.
She is survived by sisters Judy Bolton of Jacksboro, and Joyce Futrell of Florida; a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and relatives.
Visitation will be 6 – 8 PM Friday, March 24, 2017 in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home; funeral service 8 PM with Rev. Leon Fritts, and Rev. Harry James officiating. Friends and family will meet at 10:15 AM Saturday, March 25, 2017 at Martin Wilson Funeral Home to go in funeral procession to Campbell Memorial Gardens for a 11:00 am interment.
