Sallie Jane (Mcghee) Harness

Sallie Jane Harness, age 93 of LaFollette passed away Thursday, February 2, 2017.  She is of the Baptist faith and the oldest member of the Red Ash Baptist Church.  Sallie loved sewing, working puzzles, cooking, and enjoyed spending time with her grandkids and great grandkids.

She is preceded in death by husband Leamon Harness; brothers, William & Richard McGhee; sisters, Beulah Phillips & Lana Miller; and Daughter-in-law, June Harness.

She is survived by son, Larry Harness and companion, Barb Sharp of Caryville; daughter, Margaret and husband, Danny Terry of Elk Valley; sister, Pauline Napi of Florida; grandchildren, Melinda and husband, Clarence Rose of Elk Valley, Larry Wayne Harness and friend, Stephen Martinak of Knoxville, Gary Harness of Caryville, Terry and wife, Barbara Harness of Caryville, Rev. Leamon Lynn and wife, Erica Harness of LaFollette, Stephen and wife, Shannon Terry of Lexington, KY., Stephanie Terry of Elk Valley; great grandchildren, Melissa and husband, Drew,  Dillin, Cheyanne, Rebekah, Terri, Hannah, Maria, and Donna Marie; and one great-great grandchild on the way.

Visitation will be 6-8 PM Saturday, February 4, 2017 in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home; funeral service will follow at 8 PM with Rev. Don Allen, Rev. Mark Braden, and Rev. Leamon Harness officiating. Friends and family will meet 10:15 AM Sunday, February 5, 2017 at Martin Wilson Funeral Home for the 11 AM interment in Marlow Cemetery of Caryville.
